"Advancing the Gospel through Global Partnerships"

Our story:

We were both saved as children and learned about missions in Sunday School and church. God called us to serve in the country of Ecuador in 1988. We had the privilege of serving in Quito, Ecuador’s capital city, and in the coastal city of Manta. We learned from our fellow missionaries and served alongside Ecuadorian believers in church planting, discipleship, leadership training, and educational ministries.

After 30 years of ministry, family challenges and responsibilities brought us back to the USA. We prayed about how to continue having an influence for Christ in Ecuador or wherever God would use us in international missions. Pastor Sam Polson helped us to learn about Live Global. We are happy that God led us to a ministry that seems to fit us perfectly. We are grateful to be on the Live Global team!

We are excited about the opportunity to put our ministry and life experiences to work by building relationships with national partners who are making disciples, training pastors and church leaders, planting churches, and sending missionaries among all nations. It is a privilege to serve Christ by building bridges to connect churches in the USA with churches around the world in order to advance the Gospel.

Report from Peru

October 25 to November 3, Tony and 3 men from Central Baptist Church went to Puerto Maldonado, Peru. The purposes of the trip were to encourage Central’s ministry partners Dan and Ruthie Nagao, to strengthen a church that Central has helped plant in Pueblo Viejo, and to hold medical clinics in Pueblo Viejo and Palma Real. Palma Real is a remote village, about 4 hours by river from Puerto Maldonado. The medical clinic held there, assisted Pastor Zenón (pictured here) and the small group of Christians in his village. Many of them are part of the Ese Eja tribal group.

Our time in Pueblo Viejo encouraged the missionaries and the church. We met Vlady and Carol, who will be married early next year. Vlady will be the pastor of the church. We also met Morgen Cash, a missionary who works with the Nagaos, especially in ministry to the deaf. Pastor Carlos Palacios and his wife Inez spent a few days with us there. They are leaders of the Baptist Mission Board of Peru. They are also encouraging the church in Pueblo Viejo. Please pray for the Nagao family, Morgen, Vlady and Carol, and Pastor Zenón.

Teddy Going to Ecuador
Our son Teddy will be traveling to Ecuador from December 2 to 17. He will be visiting our friends and our church in Manta. He will be encouraging and helping out in ministries there. Please pray for him to be a blessing, and for God to direct in his life. We’re thankful for his heart for his home country and for serving others.

Tony Going to Paraguay
Back in March 2021, Tony had planned to go to Paraguay. That trip was canceled on the evening before it would have begun. Tony is planning to go from December 7 to 13. He’ll be visiting one of Live Global’s national partners, participating in their ministry in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay.
